MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture halted the delivery of more than 11,000 bags of fertilizer in Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro, after the DA found violations of Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority rules.
According to the DA, supplier Agri-Victorious Trading Corp. delivered products in sacks that indicate an expired Certificate of Product Registration.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said compliance with registration requirements is non-negotiable.
“Farmers depend on us to ensure that every input they receive is properly registered, validated and safe. Any product without a valid registration has no place in the market,” Laurel said.
