“Crazy Rich Asians” is getting a television adaptation!
According to Variety, streaming platform Max is now working on the project, with Adele Lim serving as showrunner and executive producer.
Adele co-wrote the “Crazy Rich Asians” movie.
She is joined by co-executive producers John M. Chu, who directed the 2018 film, and Kevin Kwan, who wrote the book series.
More details on the TV series, including cast members, have yet to be announced.
“Crazy Rich Asians” follows an Asian-American named Rachel Chu who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick Young, and finds out that he comes from one of the world’s richest families.
The movie starred Constance Wu, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh, and featured Kris Aquino in a special role as Princess Intan. —Carby Rose Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
