BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A police training instructor has been accused of raping a female trainee twice at a facility of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in this city.
The complainant said the incidents occurred on Jan. 20 and Feb. 8 at the Cordillera Administrative Region Training Center based at Teachers’ Camp.
She said the instructor summoned her to the barracks on both occasions.
The complainant reported the incidents on April 11, and filed a formal complaint on April 13.
The suspect has been placed under restrictive custody, disarmed and transferred to the PNP training headquarters in Canlubang, Laguna, pending the filing of criminal and administrative charges against him.
Maj. Marcy Grace Marron of the Baguio City police information office said that documentation is ongoing in preparation for the regular filing of cases.
