Jodielyn Ugalde aka Miss Yelo, a content creator and an entrepreneur in Roxas, Isabela, has found success in selling ice.

According to Kuya Kim's report on "24 Oras" Tuesday, Jodielyn sells about 500 pieces of ice a day for six pesos each.

The ice she sells is larger than usual, which is why it has earned the name "buntis na yelo" or pregnant ice.

Jodielyn was just in high school when she first started selling ice. Today, her business has picked up, and she has grown her freezers from one to 24. Selling ice has also allowed her to build her dream house for her family.

As for her earnings, there are times when most of these would go to paying their electricity bill, according to Jodielyn.

Meanwhile, Kuya Kim shared that ice was first imported in the Philippines by the American company Russell and Sturgis in 1847 during the Spanish colonial period. The company also established the first ice plant in the country in Binondo.

On the other hand, the first large-scale ice plant in the country, Insular Ice Plant, was built in 1902 during the American colonial period.
