MANILA, Philippines — Tycoon Isidro Consunji has been recognized anew for his outstanding contributions to the Philippine business sector, receiving the prestigious Alumni Achievement Award (Triple A) by the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).

Consunji, chairman and president of DMCI Holdings, joins six other distinguished Triple A recipients from across Asia this year.

The award is the highest distinction conferred upon AIM alumni, celebrating their excellence in leadership, innovation and impact.

Consunji also serves as chairman of Semirara Mining and Power Corp. and CEMEX Holdings Philippines, while holding directorships in several other companies, including Atlas Consolidated Mining and Development Corp. and Maynilad Water Services Inc.

Under Consunji’s leadership, the DMCI Group has significantly grown as one of the country’s largest conglomerates, creating jobs, driving economic progress and investing in critical infrastructure.

He has steered the group’s expansion across industries vital to national development, including construction, real estate, mining, power and water utilities.

The DMCI Group currently employs over 33,000 people and plays a pivotal role in the development of rural communities such as Semirara Island and Masbate.

Beyond business, Consunji is a strong advocate for job creation, local economic development and infrastructure improvement.

He also champions homegrown Filipino talent, reducing dependence on foreign consultants and fostering local expertise.

Last year, Consunji was the sole recipient of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association Most Distinguished Alumnus Award.

He was recognized for his strategic and outstanding leadership of a business conglomerate that has generated countless job opportunities and addressed critical needs in housing, water services and power.
