The hit Broadway musical "Come From Away" will get a Philippine staging in June!

The local production will be staged by GMG Productions and Stages, featuring an all-star cast from the Philippines and book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein.

The show will be held in the Samsung Performing Arts Theater in Circuit Makati.

Ticket details and show dates have yet to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled!

"Come From Away" is based on the true story of 7,000 airline passengers who were grounded in the small town of Gander in Newfoundland, Canada in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

An inspiring tale of community and humanity, it tells the story of Gander's residents as they welcome these "come from aways" into their lives and homes.

It is the winner of four Olivier Awards including Best New Musical for its West End production and the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical on Broadway (Christopher Ashley), among others.
