MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI)’s planned expansion in Luzon is getting a major boost with the support of a subsidiary of Japan’s NTT Group.
CLI said the company has received the Philippine Competition Commission’s clearance on the proposed subscription by NTT UD Asia Pte. Ltd. to 40 percent of the voting shares of CLI Luzon Ventures Inc.
CLI Luzon Ventures was established to spearhead developments in the Luzon region.
CLI has been gearing up for expansion in Luzon after cementing its leadership in Visayas and Mindanao.
The company earlier said it plans to spend P12 billion for its maiden projects that include a horizontal project in either Batangas or Cavite as well as a vertical project in Metro Manila.
CLI was looking to launch its first Luzon-based project this year.
In October last year, CLI broke ground on The Wave Towers, a collaboration project with NTT UD Asia under their joint venture CLI NUD Ventures Inc.
The Wave Towers marks the first joint venture between CLI and NTT UD Asia.
NTT UD Asia’s portfolio spans major global cities including Tokyo, New York, London, Boston, Melbourne and Ho Chi Minh City.
The collaboration highlights NTT UD Asia’s confidence in CLI’s track record and leadership in real estate, recognizing the Cebu-based developer as a trusted partner capable of delivering international-quality developments.
