BEIJING — China said it monitored a Philippine civilian boat delivering daily provisions to the “illegally grounded” warship at the disputed Second Thomas Shoal on Wednesday, a statement from the coast guard said.

China urges the Philippines to honour its commitments, stop hyping up and work with China to manage the maritime situation.

The Philippine embassy in Beijing did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the statement.
