MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno and businessman Matthew Lhuillier were spotted together in Cebu, fuelling further the romance rumors between the two.

A video making the rounds on social media sees the two in a Cebu grocery store where Matthew took photos of Chie with a staff member.

Rumors that Chie and Matthew entered a romantic relationship began last September, some weeks after the actress reportedly called it quits with Jake Cuenca.

Last September 29, Chie released a statement regarding her and Jake, asking that the Lhuiller family not be dragged into conversations.

"I've been reading and hearing a lot these past few days and I ask that my past relationship, my present life, and the Lhuillier family be left out of this issue," Chie said at the time. "They don't deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing to do with them."

In another post, Chie said "I may be a public figure, but I am not public property. I ask that my private life remains private."
