MANILA, Philippines —   President Marcos has reappointed Commission on Higher Education Chairperson Shirley Agrupis to a fresh four-year term after she completed the unfinished term of former CHED chief Prospero de Vera.

Agrupis assumed her post on May 29, 2025 after Marcos accepted the resignation of De Vera.

She will serve her new term as commission chair until 2030.

Agrupis, a seasoned and published academician, researcher and public servant, first assumed as CHED commissioner on Sept. 6, 2024.

Prior to her appointment to CHED, she was a full-time university professor and the immediate past president of Mariano Marcos State University in Ilocos Norte.
