MANILA, Philippines — Former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson was arrested in Quezon City on Thursday, June 11, on a cyberlibel charge, according to a police spot report obtained by Philstar.com.
The report said Singson, 84, was arrested at his residence in Quezon City on a warrant issued by the Vigan City Regional Trial Court Branch 21.
"The accused is now under the custody of PS 12 for documentation and proper disposition," the spot report read.
