Jaicee Cervantes closed out with a three-over-par 74 to win the girls’ 7-10 division title of the ICTSI Beverly Place Junior PGT Championship on Tuesday, gathering much-needed steam entering the final leg, which will determine the composition of the North squad for the Elite Finals.

The 9-year-old Assumption College student won by nine shots with a 149 total over Jehanne Mendoza, who had a 72, to get the maximum 15 points and take a 20-point total into the Eagle Ridge leg, where she battles it out with Laura Pablo for the fourth and final slot.

As it is, Winter Serapio has qualified with the maximum 45 points out of three wins, with Mendoza and Andrea Dee having the inside track on the next two.

Meanwhile, Zoji Edoc put a lock on the No. 2 slot for the boys’ 7-10 North team after signing for a 72 to win by a shot over Andres Jeturian. Edoc now has 42 points to tie Zach Guico, even as Georgina Handog put a lock on a girls’ 11-14 slot after coming out victorious for the second straight leg.

Handog fired a 73 for 145 and a four-shot win over Cailey Gonzales, who submitted a 68.
