MANILA, Philippines — Award-winning Filipina chef Margarita Fores has died, her son confirmed on Tuesday evening.
On an Instagram post, Amado Fores (@amadofores) wrote, "It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden passing of my Mom, Margarita A. Forés. Our family is mourning this unexpected loss, and we kindly ask for your prayers during this time."
Amado has not shared other details but assured that they will let the public know "in due time."
On her Instagram account, @margaritafores, Margarita was still posting Instagram Stories as late as Monday night from her visit to Prince and the Peacock, a restaurant in Hong Kong.
