MANILA, Philippines — Theater and movie stars Cedrick Juan and Kate Alejandrino are engaged, the couple announced on Wednesday through their respective social media accounts.
In their posts, Juan and Alejandrino shared photos and video clips of the engagement which happened on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in a restaurant. In the snaps, Alejandrino proudly displayed her diamond ring.
Accompanied by the song "Ikaw at Ako" by Johnoy Danao, Juan expressed his feelings in his caption.
"My job is to love, serve, listen to, and make you happy because you deserve it... My love, I love you so much, and I will choose you every day," part of Juan's message, originally in Filipino, read.
In her own post, Alejandrino promised to love Juan "even more tomorrow and beyond."

The couple's announcement received an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, family members, and celebrity friends, including Dolly de Leon, Isabel Oli Prats, Joyce Pring, Joey Mead King, Gab Pangilinan, and Benjamin Alves.
Juan won the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Best Actor award for his performance in the film "GomBurZa." Alejandrino, on the other hand, is known for her roles in "Ten Little Mistresses," "Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars," and "Bula sa Langit," among others.
The couple first hinted at their relationship on October 29, 2024, when Juan posted a solo picture with Alejandrino, captioning it, "When words fail, our eyes speak."
They made their relationship Instagram official on Jan. 1 of this year.
