CEBUANA Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Cebuana Lhuillier, reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive development as a co-presenter of the 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference and Expo, held at Dusit Thani Manila and Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City from July 1 to 3. Hosted by the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), this year’s expo carried the theme “Diversity, equity and inclusivity for shared prosperity.”
CLFI showcased its long-running community programs through a dynamic exhibit highlighting initiatives in education, financial literacy, livelihood, gender equality and disaster resilience. These efforts have improved the lives of millions of Filipinos, particularly in underserved communities.
“For us, financial inclusion goes beyond a mission; it’s a commitment we all share and live by," said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
Lhuillier added, “We believe in building access, breaking barriers and opening doors for every Filipino. Through CLFI, we continue to expand our reach and create lasting impact.”
The expo served as a significant platform to showcase CLFI’s 25 years of purpose-driven work. Featured programs included the Alternative Learning System or ALS, in partnership with the Department of Education, and the #LahatKasama Financial Literacy Program. Both initiatives aimed to equip Filipinos with the knowledge and tools to build more secure and empowered lives.

“More than a celebration of a milestone, this reaffirms our dedication to the values that guide us,” said Jonathan Batangan, CLFI executive director.
“With inclusion at the core of our work, we remain focused on helping Filipinos thrive, whether through education, livelihood or disaster response,” Batangan added.
Batangan, who also chairs the Financial Inclusion Committee of LCF, co-led a plenary session in partnership with the Disaster Resilience Committee. Titled “Intersecting inclusion and resilience: Protecting the vulnerable and marginalized sectors in the Philippines,” the session brought together experts and advocates to explore the synergy between inclusive finance and disaster preparedness in safeguarding at-risk populations.
Cebuana Lhuillier’s leadership in financial empowerment was also highlighted at the expo. Its comprehensive suite of microfinance services, including bridge financing, micro-savings, microinsurance, remittance and accessible investment options, continues to offer practical solutions for individuals and communities often excluded from traditional financial systems.
Beyond its external impact, the company showcased its internal culture of empowerment. Cebuana Lhuillier’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is deeply embedded in its workplace policies and employee engagement initiatives and leadership development programs, fostering a strong and inclusive organizational foundation.
“This milestone reflects the strength of our people — our dedicated employees, our invaluable partners and the resilient communities who continue to trust us,” said Lhuillier, adding, “As we move forward, we remain steadfast on what truly matters: giving every Filipino the power to shape their own future.”
With 25 years of grassroots impact as its foundation, CLFI continues to lead Cebuana Lhuillier’s efforts in building inclusive growth and shared prosperity, demonstrating that lasting change fundamentally begins by putting people at the center.
