The company said it will notify affected passengers and provide them options to rebook their flights, convert them into a travel fund with their virtual CEB wallets, or have refunds.
The move comes after a resolution from the Manila Slot Coordination Committee, which orders the “gradual transfer” of turboprop aircraft operations out of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
“[Cebu Pacific] recognizes the importance of managing airport capacity effectively, which will lead to improved passenger experience and greater public convenience,” the airline said in a statement on Thursday, January 23.
However, AirSWIFT Transport — which the company acquired in October 2024 — will still operate flights from NAIA Terminal 2 until March 2026.
In 2024, Cebu Pacific noted a rise in the volume of passengers it flew from the Clark airport — going up 36% to over 1 million passengers compared with its 2023 numbers.
From Clark, the airline serves flights to Bohol, Caticlan, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa. It also offers a few international flights, namely, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Narita, and Singapore. – Rappler.com
