"With the successful connection of Cebu City Hall to several barangay through a solid fiber infrastructure, our vision of a smart city is becoming a reality. This initiative is more than just technology; it is about building a future where innovation empowers every citizen," InfiniVAN Chairman Koji Miyashita expressed.
The event brought together key stakeholders, including Cebu City government officials, technology partners and industry leaders, all united by a shared commitment to improving digital access and fostering innovation.
"We have already made strides in making sure that Cebu City becomes a smart city. We have already offered public Wi-Fi in almost all of our schools, free of charge. The first time that this happened in the city," Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia said.
As it advances its smart city agenda, this initiative paves the way for future innovations in urban mobility, smart utilities and citizen engagement.
