MANILA, Philippines — Newly-wed actress Carla Abellana is humorously indignant on eclipsing the seven weeks of her first marriage.

In separate interviews with television host Boy Abunda and broadcast journalist Jessica Soho, Carla joked that her initial marriage to fellow actor Tom Rodriguez in 2021 did not even last two months so it should be a record easy to beat.

"Napagtatawanan ko siya ngayon. Of course, 'pag binabalikan painful pa rin siya, but at least, now I'm more able to comfortably talk [about it]," Carla told Jessica during their interview.

Boy quipped during Carla's appearance on his show "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" that she should celebrate as soon as her second marriage exceeds her first by a day — something the actress is down for.

Carla told Boy she was looking forward to properly experiencing married life from the honeymoon stage to the challenges that come with it.

Jessica and Boy both praised Carla for staying strong following the fallout of her first marriage, staying professional in work, and giving love a second chance.

In both interviews, Carla talked about her relationship with husband Dr. Reginald Santos, a chief medical officer at a private hospital, whom she called her first love. They dated two decades ago when they were in high school. 

She also brought up her and Reginald's wedding cake, which went viral as many pointed out the slab cake looked like a coffin.
