Camille Prats and Katrina Halili opened up about losing their partners and how they dealt with the painful experience.
In their interview with Nelson Canlas for GMA Integrated News, which aired on "24 Oras" Friday, Camille shared that Katrina witnessed her during the time her first husband, Anthony Linsangan, passed away in 2011.
"When I lost my late husband I was working with her during 'Munting Heredera,' so somehow she witnessed that season of my life," shared Camille.
"And then ngayon naman tagal namin hindi nagka-work. Ngayong 'Mommy Dearest,' 'yun naman 'yung pinagdaanan niya while we were taping also 'Mommy Dearest.'"
Katrina's boyfriend, Jeremy Guiab, passed away in January 2024.
Per Camille, it is as if their relationship, especially as co-workers, has done a 360-degree turn.
"Nakita niya ako at my lowest. Na-witness niya 'yun at the same time nandito rin ako sa buhay niya ngayon while she was going through that."
Meanwhile, Katrina remarked that while some people would choose not to take on work while going through such a painful experience, she and Camille did so. .
"Tayo tinatanggap nating dalawa. Sabi ko, oo, kasi pwede ko namang i-iyak mamaya," she said.
According to Katrina, she would cry over Jeremy after taping scenes at work.
"Kunyari magte-take. Pipigilan ko. Piipigilan ko hanggang mag-cut, mag-ano na ako, mag-pack up. Tsaka ako iiyak. Pupunta ako dun at tsaka ako iiyak Pinipigilan ko kasi ano gagawin ko sa bahay, iiyak ako nang iiyak? Mamamaga lang'yung mata ko di ba?"
She added that she went back to work to divert her attention.
"Para din hindi din ako masyadong ma-stuck doon, parang nilbang ko rin 'yung sarili ko na, 'OK magtatrabaho ako. Pag pain ng ibang tao mabilis akong umiyak. Sa akin parang, 'OK lang.'"
Years after Camille lost her husband, she found love again with her grade school classmate, VJ Yambao, and they tied the knot in 2017.
As for Katrina, she shared that she still dreams of having her own family despite what happened.
"Hindi naman din ako titigil dahil dun lang. Pangarap ko magkaroon ng pamilya, pangarap ko na meron akong katuwang kay Katie, so kailangan kong mag-move on. Hindi naman hihinto buhay ko dun," she said.
She, however, isn't in a relationship at the moment. She also didn't mention any names, but said, "Happy lang kami. Walang label,basta happy lang."
Camille and Katrina are set to star in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Mommy Dearest" alongside Shayne Sava.
It will premiere on February 24 at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Network.
