MANILA, Philippines — The Asian Cultural Council Philippines Foundation Inc. (ACC Philippines) will hold today its highly anticipated Asian Cultural Council Art Auction 2025, in collaboration with León Gallery.

It is part of ACC Philippines’ fundraising efforts to support its ACC Philippine Fellowship Program, which provides grants to Filipino artists, enabling them to engage in transformative cultural exchange in the US and across Asia.

“We are deeply grateful for the generosity and steadfast support of artists and collectors whose contributions have been vital to the success of our mission,” said Ernest Escaler, businessman, art patron and chairman of ACC Philippines.

León Gallery director Jaime Ponce de Leon said two remarkable masterpieces from the collection of Arthur Hill, former Philippine representative of the Ford Foundation, and his wife, Julie, will be among those that will be up for auction.

These are H.R. Ocampo’s spirited A Song for Summer and Ang Kiukok’s tender Mother and Child.

The proceeds of the two pieces will “directly benefit bright yet underprivileged provincial students who have successfully passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test but lack the financial means to afford the cost of living in a UP campus,” De Leon said, adding that many other remarkable pieces will go under the hammer.
