MANILA, Philippines — Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is teaming up with The Walt Disney Co. in a multi-year collaboration aimed at reshaping how Filipinos experience everyday banking, as the Ayala-led lender steps up efforts to strengthen customer engagement beyond traditional financial services.
In a statement, BPI said it would become the first bank in the Philippines to integrate offerings across Disney’s regional businesses, spanning Disney Consumer Products, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Entertainment and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
The partnership comes as BPI marks its 175th year, signaling a shift toward embedding lifestyle-driven experiences into its financial ecosystem in a bid to retain and grow its retail customer base.
BPI president and CEO Jose Teodoro “TG” Limcaoco said the collaboration aligns with the bank’s push to evolve its services while maintaining its core mission.
“By bringing together BPI’s legacy of trust and financial empowerment with Disney’s timeless storytelling and characters that continue to inspire people in the Philippines across generations, we are creating more meaningful and engaging ways for our customers to connect with us,” Limcaoco said.
He added that the initiative is “about helping families plan, dream and experience more — while staying true to our mission of building a better Philippines, one family and one community at a time.”
Under the agreement, BPI will roll out themed financial products and lifestyle perks, including branded cards inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars franchises, as well as exclusive promotions tied to entertainment and travel experiences.
Cardholders may also gain access to perks for Disney-themed vacations, including cruise packages and visits to Hong Kong Disneyland, alongside promotional offers for Disney+ subscriptions and film-related events.
