MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX) has tapped celebrated television host Boy Abunda to moderate conversation video series "Tara, Bonding Tayo!" about money, investing, and other financial goals this new year.

Discussions on the series are anchored on the agency's broader efforts to make investing and wealth-building more accessible to Filipinos.

The series brings honest, relatable discussions about financial realities into the open, centering on how individuals think about money, responsibility, and long-term security.

Rather than focusing on numbers, jargon, or financial products, "Tara, Bonding Tayo!" centers on real-life stories where money decisions affect relationships, self-worth, and family dynamics.

"Wealth can mean many things. For some, it's peace of mind. For others, it's time, freedom, or legacy. But one thing is for sure — everyone deserves a shot at creating their own definition of wealth. You could do it alone, but you don't have to," Boy says in the series' opening.

Celebrity guests

Joining Boy in the episodes is a rotation of notable guests — radio and events host Sam YG, actress Dianne Medina, and Registered Financial Planner Institute director Randell Tiongson.

Sam discussed how investing in government bonds became his go-to approach for steadier, more secure money moves.

Background

PDAX is a virtual asset service provider licensed and regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Founded in 2017, it a cryptocurrency exchange and digital asset platform that allows Filipinos to easily trade cryptocurrencies in peso.

The platform also allows investment in Philippine government bonds, pioneering its tokenization through Project Bayani.

The latter is a landmark white paper estimating that the Philippines' tokenized-asset market could reach $60 billion (P3.53 trillion) by 2030 across government bonds, mutual funds, equities, and other investment assets.

Project Bayani also digitized the Bureau of the Treasury's Retail Treasury Bonds, making government-backed investments more accessible through digital platforms.
