The 2025 midterm elections have been highly divisive, following the fallout between President Marcos and Vice President Duterte. A clear line has been drawn between the former allies, with Duterte set to face an impeachment trial in the Senate this June.
The 12 senators who will sit as judges in the impeachment trial will be determined by the outcome of the midterm elections.
As of 9:11 p.m., the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has received 72.79% of local election returns and 27.68% of overseas returns.
