Bimby Aquino and his mother Kris on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda"

MANILA, Philippines — Bimby Aquino doesn't know yet who his future wife is going to be, but one thing he is sure of is he wants his mother Kris to be there at the wedding.

Kris and Bimby were special guests on a pre-recorded two-part episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," which marked the first time Boy and Kris appeared on camera together in about a decade.

This as Kris has suffered and is still recovering from a number of autoimmune diseases, gradually increasing her few public appearances as she continues monitoring her health.

Bimby joined his mom and Boy's part of the conversation, which was aired on Thursday, October 29. The host pivoted the discussion to Bimby's romantic endeavors, which Kris lit up about as she shared her approval for a number of potential daughter-in-laws.

Boy quoted something Kris had said before that Bimby's future partner would be a lucky lady because Kris had raised him well, although the "Queen of All Media" quipped that her youngest son was "kuripot" and would offer to spend on flowers or serenading singers.

"You have to accept that when she loves someone, she really goes above and beyond for that person," Bimby said about his mother.

Boy further praised Bimby, who is also his godson, for being so caring about Kris and added that reflects how he'll be as a husband. Kris later quipped that Bimby should choose someone athletic rather than someone "as lampa as her."

Bimby shared that his mother's approval is the most important factor in choosing a partner, "I always promised my mom that my wife will be the love of my life, but she (Kris) will be the love of my universe."

Kris pushed back on that and joked she was going to die some day anyway.

"I really want him to know na kailangan una ang misis because she has to know and be very secure na love na love [siya] ni Bimb that she'll be a good mom," Kris said.

Boy admitted being emotional hearing Kris be unlike usual self, leading to Bimby sharing how Kris has lately been telling him to date someone attractive so she can gave cute grandchildren — especially after Kris thinks someone Bimby likes isn't pretty.

Bimby reiterated his intention to marry early, preferably before turning 30 years old, noting beyond Kris' approval he wants his mother — and Ninong Boy — to walk him down the aisle at the wedding.

"I don't want to live with them. Ayoko noh! If I do, I'll still be paying the bills!" Kris joked, compounded by a smiling Boy who said he would instead. "I hope I get along with the family of the girl, and she will love Bimb for all the right reasons."

Boy then asked Bimby if he was already choosing between showbiz and politics, and the 19-year-old admitted that he was leaning towards public service and is aware of the responsibilities such an individual has for constituents.

Kris added that should Bimby indeed become a politician, his future wife has to understand that she is willing to be attached to public service.

Bimby also said he plans to start out small in a local position as "boots on the ground" is a different experience.

Later in the episode Bimby talked about being Kris' son and his relationship with older brother Josh. Bimby is Kris' son with basketball star James Yap while Josh is Kris' child with actor Philip Salvador.
