MANILA, Philippines — Workers in the private sector in Bicol will receive this year an increase in their monthly pay, which will be given in two tranches, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.
Wage Order RBV-23 provides that the daily minimum wage in Bicol will be raised to P455 starting April 8, and to P480 on Dec. 1.
The labor department said the increase intends to address workers’ day-to-day expenses and promote fair compensation across industries.
Among regions, Bicol is the last to implement a wage adjustment under the 2025-2026 cycle, completing the nationwide review of minimum wage rates.
The wage order applies to all workers and industries in the private sector.
