Bicol cop held over P38,000 extortion to pass PNP applicant in med exam

MANILA, Philippines — A Police Regional Office Bicol Region (PRO 5) personnel was arrested for allegedly extorting P38,000 from a Philippine National Police (PNP) applicant to let the latter pass a medical test, the agency said on Thursday. In a statement, PRO 5 said it entrapped the suspect, a 40-year-old police officer assigned to the
