Even as it prepares for its first overseas online gaming venture in Brazil, DigiPlus Interactive Corporation is putting up DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd. in Singapore so it can expand its geographical footprint even more.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the firm said this plan was approved by its Board of Directors in their meeting held on February 26, 2025.

DigiPlus Global will be wholly owned by Diginvest Holdings Inc., a 100 percent subsidiary of DigiPlus Interactive. It will serve as a support function center and regional hub dedicated to strategic partnerships, talent acquisition, and international growth – key pillars of DigiPlus’ long-term growth strategy.

“Singapore is a world-class hub for business, technology, and talent, making it an ideal base for our global initiatives,” said DigiPlus Interactive Chairman Eusebio Tanco.

He noted “With the incorporation of DigiPlus Global, we are strengthening our ability to attract top-tier professionals, forge strategic alliances, and enhance our international presence, all while remaining deeply committed to our home market in the Philippines.”

DigiPlus Interactive operates the Philippines' leading digital entertainment platforms, including BingoPlus, the country’s first government-approved online bingo platform; ArenaPlus, a premier sportsbook; and GameZone, a rising platform for casual and arcade gaming.

While DigiPlus Global will focus solely on corporate and operations support functions, it will not engage in any iGaming operations in Singapore, strictly adhering to the country’s regulatory framework.

This milestone marks a bold step in DigiPlus, Interactive’s expansion will leverage Singapore’s advanced business infrastructure and global connectivity to position the company further as a leader in digital entertainment.

DigiPlus Interactive is allotting ₱2.5 billion to ₱3 billion for capital expenditures for the expansion of its business in the Philippines as well as its new venture to Brazil this year.

According to DigiPlus Vice President for Investor Relations Celeste Jovenir, the amount covers the initial spending for the Brazil venture that the company is setting up for a fourth-quarter launch.

“Aside from the ₱660 million initial investment in Brazil, it includes maintenance capex - IT infrastructure upgrade, facilities renovation. This is already funded,” Jovenir said.

Tanco expressed optimism about continued growth in the company’s user base after closing 2024 at 40 million, double the 20 million recorded in 2023.

“It will improve to a certain extent, but maybe not at the rate we have now,” Tanco said, adding that the Brazil venture will also be key to the growth.

For its Brazil venture, DigiPlus is leveraging its online platform, ArenaPlus. Last month, the company secured one of the licenses to operate sports betting and online games up for grabs in Brazil through unit DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda.

The license allows DigiPlus to operate land-based and online sports betting, electronic games, live game studios, and other fixed-odds betting activities in the soccer-crazed Portuguese-speaking country.
