MANILA, Philippines — Philippine diplomatic missions have warned the public of fraudulent and unauthorized websites for police clearance and e-travel.
The Philippine embassies and consulates general warned that the following websites imitating Philippine government websites are fake:

The legitimate Philippine government websites for the issuance of the Philippine National Police (PNP) clearance and for registration for e-travel clearance are the following:
The embassies and consulates warned that the fake websites can be used by criminal syndicates to get personal information from unsuspecting members of the public (phishing).
The Philippine embassy in Japan said the use of fake websites risks personal and private information.
“We wish to remind our countrymen to use the correct website in getting the Philippine National Police clearance,” the embassy said.
“Please double check the accessed website before giving information,” it said.
In its advisory, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong said “The personal information obtained through these fake websites can be used to hack bank accounts and other sensitive databases or for opening stooge accounts for money laundering.”
The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles said “individuals who enter their information on fake websites risk compromising their privacy and security, as their sensitive personal data may be misused by malicious actors.”
“The public is advised to avoid unauthorized websites and remain vigilant to protect their personal information,” it said.
