MANILA, Philippines — Candidates in the May midterm polls should not install their campaign materials in schools during graduation ceremonies, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said yesterday.
Violators will face disqualification, Comelec Chairman George Garcia warned.
Campaign materials are not allowed on school premises, he stressed.
While incumbent officials can be invited to graduation rites, Garcia maintained they should praise students and not campaign during the event.
The campaign period for the May elections is until May 10.
