MANILA, Philippines — Young actors Benedix Ramos and Sheena Belarmino are the latest cast additions for the international premiere of "The Notebook" musical coming to Manila.

The production is a musical adaptation of the 1996 novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, which was famously turned into a 2004 film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

"The Notebook: The Musical" is in the middle of a North American tour running until August 2026 then it will make its international debut the following month in Makati's Samsung Performing Arts Theater.

Featuring music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson and a script by Bekah Brunstetter, the musical offers a more intimate and reflective take on Sparks' book by portraying lead characters Allie and Noah across multiple stages of their lives.
