been with globe for 78 months, still within lock in period

Hi! I hope someone can help enlighten me kung tama ba ako or not kasi di naman ako maalam sa ganito and ano ba pwede kong next step kasi i feel like i exhausted all my options already.

For context: 100mbps unli globe at home plan 1299 + landline

it's a pretty good deal i know, pero lumipat na kasi kami ng bahay a year ago and nagpa-install na kami ng globe din na wifi (50 mbps plan 1299 no landline),

for 1 year pareho bahay binabayaran namin wifi since dati nadalaw pa kami sa old house pero ngayon since permanently hindi na kami titira doon, gusto ko na sana ipa-terminate yung plan, and since outside lock in period na sya, confident ako na wala na babayaran.

After requesting sa globe, I found out NASA LOCK IN PERIOD PA DIN DAW until September 2025

back then, September 2022 kasi nag-automatic upgrade yung plan namin before (plan 1299 10mbps 30gb cap + landline) lang ata sya tapos yun nga nag-automatic upgrade sa current mbps/cap

and yes, tinanggap namin yung plan kasi hindi ako tinantanan ng globe sa automatic schedule nung technician visit for upgrade, tinawagan ko pa CS noon and nirereject ko nga kasi di naman namin need and lagi walang tao sa bahay to welcome the technician, so hassle lang. pero ininsist nila yung upgrade saying phased out na nga yung plan namin need na talaga kunin yung free upgrade otherwise mawawalan kami internet.

syempre I made sure to ask yung effects nun, like baka may babayaran, hidden fees ganon and they assured me that everything would be as is, 1299 + landline. as well as wala na ako sa lock in!!!

not sure about this, but they called it tech upgrade? kasi nga di kami fiber before and phase out na nga so need convert to fiber i dunno

after that upgrade, tumawag ulit ako sa CS (3x to be exact) and they assured me wala na ako sa lock in. lagi sila nalilito at first saying nasa lock in pa pero tuwing pinapa-double check ko, nililinaw nila na tama nga ako wala na sa lock in period yung account.

so ayun, fast forward to present. pinapaterminate ko yung plan and within lock in period daw ulit ako kasi nagpa-upgrade ako nun

binibigyan nila ako other options like change of location+ 300 discount for 6mos. pero gusto ko nga permanent termination without pre-termination fees kasi yun naman dapat!!!

ang siste, either bayaran ko 1299x2mos + 4500 or ituloy ko nalang hanggang September??? either way I gagastos ako for nothing

  • upon checking yung text message nila sakin September 2022, may link dun regarding the upgrade+ FAQs, ang sabi carry over yung lock in duration so dapat carry over lang din na wala na ako sa lock in period?!?!?!

nakaka-frustrate lang kasi I've been loyal & diligent for 78 months lol and paid my dues pero until the very end ng buyer-consumer relationship namin, kapitalista talaga! where's the integrity lol
