Beelink Enters the NAS Market with ME Series – First Model, the ME Mini, Launching Soon

6 days ago 8

Beelink, known for its mini PCs, is stepping into the Network Attached Storage (NAS) market with its Beelink ME series, marking its first foray into private cloud storage solutions.

The Beelink ME Mini will be the first of at least three NAS devices the company plans to release, with an expected launch by the end of this month.

Unlike traditional NAS setups that rely on 3.5-inch hard drives, the Beelink ME Mini takes a different approach.

This ultra-compact unit (99 x 99.2 x 98.3mm) packs six M.2 SSD slots, each supporting up to 4TB, meaning the system can handle up to 24TB of total storage.

The built-in power supply is another plus, eliminating the need for an external power brick—just plug it directly into the wall with a simple cable.

Beelink also confirmed that models with pre-installed storage will come with Crucial-brand SSDs, moving away from the cheaper no-name storage options often found in Chinese mini PCs.

While full specs are yet to be announced, Beelink has confirmed that the ME Mini will feature:

An unspecified x86 processor
Dual 2.5GbE LAN ports for high-speed networking
“Convection cooling technology” to prevent SSD overheating

A NAS, But With Windows?

Typically, NAS devices from brands like Synology, QNAP, and Asustor run custom Linux-based operating systems. The Beelink ME Mini, however, will ship with Windows, which isn’t exactly optimized for NAS functions.

For users looking for a more traditional NAS experience, custom OS options like Unraid, OpenMediaVault, or TrueNAS will likely be better alternatives.

Pricing & Future ME Series Models

No pricing details have been revealed yet, but Beelink is known for offering more affordable alternatives compared to big-name NAS brands.

The company also hinted at two future models:
Beelink ME Pro
Beelink ME MAX

However, no further details are available on these higher-end versions yet.
