It's Barbie's world, and we're just living in it.
Barbie, the doll brand by toy manufacturer Mattel Inc., has collaborated with a local beauty brand, Lovely Causemetics, for a limited-edition makeup collection.
This collaboration marks Barbie's first-ever partnership with a Filipino beauty brand.
The Barbie x Lovely Causemetics collection features three products: Glass Glow Pressed Highlighter & Powder Blush Duo (P480), available in two shades; Soft Glow Cream Blush (P488), available in six shades; and Water Glowy Tint (P480), available in six shades.
For those huge fans of Barbie and makeup combined, you may also get the entire limited-edition collection (P8,253), which comes with a free Barbie doll.
In October 2024, Mattel released a Filipino Barbie doll designed by Filipino-American artist and designer Carlyle Nuera.
In 2023, the latest "Barbie" film directed by Greta Gerwig was released, starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and America Ferrera, among others.
As of writing, 43 movies have been produced inspired by Barbie, starting with "Barbie in the Nutcracker," released in 2001.
