THE Asia’s Modern Hero Awards 2025 transformed the grand halls of Okada Manila into a stage of honor and inspiration as Asia’s remarkable leaders, innovators, and changemakers were celebrated. Opening with a ceremonial entrance of colors, the evening paid tribute to courage, integrity, and leadership across the region.
Hosted by Golden Icons under the visionary leadership of Founder and Chairman Dr. Ronnel Ybanez, the event stood as proof that heroism is defined not by status but by the positive impact one leaves behind. Present were members of the Golden Icons Executive Board and Awards Council, joined by leaders from business, law, and industry.
Among this year’s honorees were Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV, retired AFP Chief Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr., Michael Ted Macapagal, media figures Bernadette Sembrano-Aguinaldo, Karmina Constantino, and Willard Cheng, architect Felino “Jun” Palafox Jr., and the ALC Group of Companies. Additional awardees came from diverse fields, including business, education, health care, law, and humanitarian service.
Cultural performances by Sindaw and The Angelos enriched the night, while new Awards Council members Dr. Allen Roxas, Atty. Karen Jimeno and Arch. Felino Palafox Jr. were inducted.

“This is more than an awards night — it is a movement calling every Asian leader to rise as a modern hero,” said Ybanez.
