MANILA, Philippines — Real estate developer Arthaland Corp. is targeting stringent sustainability and wellness standards from leading local and global organizations for its new Makati residential project in partnership with Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) Pte. Ltd.

Arthaland said Sondris, a premium green residential development rising along Arnaiz Avenue, aims to achieve multi-certification, including LEED from the US Green Building Council, WELL from the International WELL Building Institute, EDGE, an innovation of the International Finance Corp. and BERDE from the Philippine Green Building Council.

Sondris is a 37-story tower featuring 252 units designed to maximize natural light and ventilation, among others.

Arthaland said the project, which is scheduled for turnover by April 2030, integrates essential sustainability and wellness features that significantly reduce environmental impact while enhancing everyday comfort.

“Sondris, which is a coined name rooted in empathy, authenticity and the presence of living fully in a space, embodies our commitment to creating a home that puts people, wellness and sustainability at the center,” Arthaland executive vice president and chief sustainability officer Oliver Chan said.

Sondris is the result of a joint venture between Arthaland, through its subsidiary Zileya Land Development Corp. and Mitsui Fudosan (Asia), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s largest real estate companies.

Arthaland leads the project’s development and operations, while Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) contributes global expertise in design, property development and value preservation.

“We are truly honored to partner with Arthaland on this exceptional project. We are highly selective about the developments we choose to invest in, and our participation reflects our firm belief in the strengths, vision and high standards of this project,” Mitsui Fudosan (Asia) deputy general manager Tan Yan Fen said.

Arthaland is recognized as a developer of premium residential and commercial properties with a 100 percent certified sustainable portfolio.
