ArenaPlus,BingoPlus join celebration as PBA inducts the 50 Greatest Players in the League

ARENAPLUS, the 24/7 sports entertainment gateway in the Philippines, together with BingoPlus, your comprehensive digital entertainment platform in the country, participated in the anniversary celebration of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Quezon City last Friday, April 11, 2025.

PBA's 50th anniversary celebration commemorated the ten added individuals in the list of fifty who have shown substantial talent, charisma, and influence in the Philippine pro-basketball scene.

It was made up of players who were inducted in the previous PBA anniversaries. A total of 25 players were selected in 2000 as PBA celebrated its 25th anniversary, and 15 were added last 2015 during PBA's 40th anniversary.

Mr. MVP Scottie Thompson, who recently renewed his partnership with ArenaPlus, was among the inductees during the gala. It was his exceptional performance during his 2022 Most Valuable Player run and past recognitions that earned him a spot among the greatest players in the league.

Despite the negative criticisms that circulated in regard to Thompson's induction to the 50 greatest players, he remained positive and said: "Actually, I don't mind the negative thoughts much on social media, but I truly respect everyone's thoughts and comments because this is a free world."

"I totally respect whatever they say. Those are their opinions; I have my own, they have their own, but it's all about respect," he added.

PBA also launched its new campaign, "Solid," as it embarks on its new dream of reaching the hundred-year mark. The league also remembered how the dream started and those who believed in their vision: "Back then, it was just an idea. But nine great teams believed in it. They took the risk. They made it real."

In addition, guests and players who attended the anniversary celebration enjoyed BingoPlus and ArenaPlus merchandise as souvenirs from a night that will surely go down in the history of sports entertainment.
