'Anora' is returning to Philippine cinemas this January

"Anora" is continuing its theatrical run in the Philippines starting January 22.

Ayala Malls Cinemas announced that it's bringing back the award-winning film by Sean Baker starring Mikey Madison.

"Anora" follows a young sex worker from Brooklyn who gets the chance of a lifetime when she meets and impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch.

Also starring Mark Eydelshteyn, Yura Borisov, Karren Karagulian, and Vache Tovmasyan, the film has earned five nominations for the Golden Globes, and three nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

It also won the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

"Anora" was first locally screened at the QCinema, and it sold out most screenings for the duration of the festival. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
