AS Filipinos across the country pause in observance of the Holy Week, Ang Probinsyano Party List Rep. Alfred Delos Santos is calling on the public to show respect, appreciation, and patience toward traffic enforcers, road personnel, and other shift workers who remain on duty throughout the long weekend.
"While many of us can rest and reflect this Holy Week, let's not forget those who continue to work under the heat and pressure to ensure our roads remain safe and orderly. Our traffic enforcers and shift workers deserve our full respect and kindness," Delos Santos said.
These frontliners, he noted, endure scorching heat, pollution, physical exhaustion, and even verbal abuse from motorists — yet they remain committed to their duties, often with little rest and recognition. Delos Santos urged local government units and concerned agencies to ensure that traffic enforcers and road personnel receive proper rest cycles, hydration, and care throughout the holiday period.
"Let's also make sure they get the rest and support they need. Government agencies and LGUs should ensure humane working conditions during long weekends like this," he added.
The lawmaker also encouraged motorists and passersby to extend simple gestures of gratitude, especially to those working under the sun.

"These people show up during these holidays to do their jobs no matter the risks on the streets, on the roads. If you have the means, a cold bottle of water, a sandwich, or a kind word can go a long way. Let's lighten it, even just a little," Delos Santos said.
Ang Probinsyano Party List emphasized that Holy Week is not just a time of reflection, but also a moment to practice compassion and solidarity with one another.
"Let's make this Holy Week not only about rest, but also about giving thanks and taking care of one another. Sa mga traffic enforcers, kargador, tindera, at manggagawang walang pahinga, saludo kami sa inyo," Delos Santos concluded.
