Alexie Brooks made sure to honor her late grandmother after winning the Miss Eco International 2025 crown.
On social media, the Ilongga beauty shared a happy photo of her Lola Basing with her crowning moment flashed on the television as the backdrop.
"Lola! I made it," Alexie wrote.
Alexie's grandmother died in September 2024. The beauty queen has been loud and proud of her closeness with Lola Basing, who raised her while her mom worked as an OFW in Lebanon.
Previously, she wrote a heartfelt letter to her grandmother who celebrated her birthday on April 16.
The Filipina beauty queen reigned victorious during the grand coronation night of Miss Eco International 2025 held recently at the Hilton Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt.
She was also the winner in the National Costume competition with her Philippine Eagle-inspired costume designed by Tata Pinuela.
Alexie's win marks the Philippines' third Miss Eco International crown, following Cynthia Thomalla in 2018 and Kathleen Paton in 2022.
