MANILA, Philippines–Alex Eala and partner Victoria Mboko have withdrawn from the 2026 French Open doubles tournament.
The Filipino-Canadian pair had been scheduled to face Leylah Fernandez and Diana Shnaider in the Round of 64 on Wednesday.

Instead, Fernandez and Shnaider lost to Oksana Selekhmeteva and Anastasia Zakharova, 6-3, 6-1, in the opening round.
No official announcement was made regarding the withdrawal, and no reason was given.
Mboko is likely conserving her fitness for her singles campaign at Roland Garros, where she has advanced to the second round against Katerina Siniakova.
She cruised past Nikola Bartunkova, 6-1, 6-2, in her opener. During the match, Mboko’s right shoulder was heavily taped.
With the doubles withdrawal, Eala has concluded her clay-court campaign and will now shift her focus to the grass season, including a return to Wimbledon in July.
Eala bowed out of the singles tournament, losing to Iva Jovic, 6-4, 6-2, last Tuesday.
