The Filipino and American tandem reached the semifinals of the ASB Classic and also competed in the Round of 32 at Indian Wells Open.
Jovic, 18, reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open earlier this year and is currently ranked World No. 17.
Eala, currently WTA No. 38, made her Grand Slam main draw debut at the French Open last year. She lost to Emiliana Arango, 0-6, 6-2, 3-6 in the first round.
If Eala advances, she could face either Emma Navarro or Janice Tjen in the next round.
