MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala concluded her campaign in the 2026 Italian Open after bowing out of the doubles tournament with partner Hailey Baptiste on Tuesday.
Eala and her American partner lost to second-seeded pair Taylor Townsend and Kateřina Siniaková, 6-2, 6-1, in the Round of 32.
Eala, then partnered with Zeynep Sönmez, also lost to Townsend and Siniaková in the Madrid Open Round of 16.

The Filipino tennis star earlier ended her singles run after falling to Elena Rybakina, 6-4, 6-3, in the third round on Sunday.
Her campaign was highlighted by victories over Magdalena Frech and world No. 33 Wang Xinyu.
Eala is set to compete in the French Open later this month.
