The Miss Universe Philippines 2025 asked some powerful questions about politics and leadership during its question-and-answer round during the coronation night on May 2.

In Wednesday’s episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” Ahtisa Manalo was asked to answer one of the questions given to the Top 6 finalists of the pageant.

Ahtista got the question given to Miss Universe Philippines 2025 1st runner-up Winwyn Marquez, which is about the most essential quality that one should look for in leaders.

She articulated her answer by relating it to her supposed bid as a city councilor in her town in Quezon Province that did not push through.

“As someone who was supposed to run as a councilor in my town and had to quit, I want our leaders to have self-knowledge, to understand if they can actually do the job they’re applying for because it's a position of public trust. So they got to be trusted, they got to know what they are doing, and they got to make sure that they have the capabilities to do the job that they area applying for,” she said.

Ahtisa was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 during the pageant's coronation night.

She will represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2025, which will take place on November 21 at the Impact Muong Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
