Robina Gokongwei-Pe, Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. chairman, took to social media to poke fun at a tale as old as time about their mall in Ortigas.

On Facebook, the businesswoman snapped a photo with snake decorations inside their mall. Like most shopping establishments, Robinsons is celebrating the Chinese New Year 2025, which happens to be a Year of the Snake.

“Look who finally decided to come out of hiding," Gokongwei-Pe began her funny caption. "My shining, shimmering golden twin (with his pretty in pink girlfriend)!”

“Here’s to a [slithering] good Year of the Snake!” she added.

Her post has already generated 4.4K reactions, 265 comments, and more than 1K shares as of writing.

In case you didn’t know, she's referencing an old rumor from the ‘80s about her half-man-half-snake twin, also called Taong Ahas, hiding underneath the fitting rooms of Robinsons Department Store.

The urban legend also had it that Alice Dixson was a victim, having fallen down a trapdoor while fitting clothes in the fitting room, and managing to escape through an underground corridor that led to a nearby hotel.

While Alice already denied the myth back in 2020, saying “those things are all not true" we couldn't help but take notice of the businesswoman's sense of humor. Hilarious!
