Advocates call for LEO satellite investments to close PH digital divide

MANILA, Philippines — A consumer advocacy group on Thursday called on the national government to actively promote more investments in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity to help close the country’s digital divide, boost disaster resilience, and spur economic growth. In a statement, CitizenWatch co-convener Tim Abejo explained that LEO satellites—which orbit closer to Earth than
