Aboitiz-led consortium takes over CBK hydropower complex

MANILA, Philippines — The government completed on Monday the transfer of the massive hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) complex in Laguna to the consortium led by Aboitiz Power Corp. Thunder Consortium comprises Aboitiz Renewables Inc., Sumitomo Corp. and Electric Power Development Co. It has taken over the Caliraya-Botocan-Kalayaan (CBK) hydroelectric facility following its winning P36.266-billion bid.
