The Matcha Tokyo has opened its flagship store in the country at the SM Mall of Asia, and at the heart of its biggest branch yet lies a serene “Karesansui” or zen rock garden, a distinctively Japanese-style garden symbolizing stillness amid the city’s buzz.

But it’s not just the garden that makes this café stand out.  Drawing inspiration from the gentle curves of Manila Bay, the space flows with organic lines, natural light, and calming green zones, inviting guests to linger and unwind.

This flagship also debuts store-exclusive savory dishes, including savory Panini in six flavors: Chicken Teriyaki (P295), Vegetarian (P295), Tuna (P295), Turkey Ham Avocado (P395), Smoked Salmon (P395), and Pastrami (P395).

Yogurt bowls like Blueberry Mango (P395) and Strawberry Banana (P395), as well as desserts like Ensaymatcha (P280) and Mont Blanc Toast (P395) are also available.

For a hands-on twist, The Matcha Tokyo offers an interactive Matcha and Hojicha Experience, both priced at P595 each, where guests can whisk their own tea and pour their lattes, each paired with a dessert sampler featuring cookie butter Basque cheesecake, matcha madeleine, warabi mochi, and a butter cookie.

The Matcha Tokyo is located at the 3/F, SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.
