On a warm and memorable evening at the elegant Sage Bar of Makati Shangri-La, Manila in Makati City, beloved matriarch Dette Aquino-Tan was feted at a joyful birthday celebration, surrounded by nearly a hundred of her closest family members and friends. Leading the gathering were her daughter, Bukidnon 3rd District Rep. Audrey Zubiri, and her husband, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri, along with their children Adriana, Juanmi and Santi.
The beautifully appointed venue, reserved exclusively for the occasion, buzzed with affection as guests from the government, diplomatic and social sectors gathered to honor the gracious celebrant. Adding sparkle to the evening was a delightful serenade from OPM legend Jose Mari Chan, whose signature warmth set the tone for touching tributes from the family. The program culminated in an especially moving moment when young Santi charmed the crowd with a heartfelt guitar rendition of Harana.
