The CWC Design Center in Makati City, which houses CWC Interiors under the visionary leadership of president and CEO Fred Yuson, celebrated its first anniversary in an evening of vibrant festivity, inspiring conversations, and forward-looking design. The metro’s design community gathered for a lively mix of tradition, innovation, and fun — from a thanksgiving Mass and a colorful Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance to an energetic roof deck after-party. One of the program highlights was the insightful “Conversations with MillerKnoll: Designing for Tomorrow” forum where top industry leaders shared perspectives on sustainable design, adaptable workplaces, and creative collaboration.

Of identity, memory, and delight

A masterful conversation between painting and sculpture, David Kaufman and Kim Jasper Marcelino effortlessly commanded attention with their vibrant two-man exhibition held at Nine Two Eight Art Gallery in Makati City. The former’s meticulously layered canvases reimagine iconic subjects with subtle nuance and quiet intensity, rewarding the attentive eye with revelations in texture and memory.

Philip Abadicio, artists Kim Jasper Marcelino, David Kaufman, and Jeffrey Dimalanta lead the ribbon cutting ceremony during the opening of the two-man exhibit at Nine Two Eight Art Gallery.

The latter’s, meanwhile, charm with their soft, almost whimsical forms where paper-bag heads and gentle distortions explore identity, anonymity, and tender vulnerability.

The opening brimmed with collectors, artists, and cultural aficionados, buzzing with lively dialogue that mirrored the thoughtful, evocative works on display.

This dynamic pairing celebrated the thrill of artistic exchange and affirmed Nine Two Eight Art Gallery as a haven for contemporary creativity.

Celebrants Beging Soriano, Yoli Ayson, Agile Zamora

Warm reunions and festive moments

The JL & Co. group’s first gathering for this year, celebrated in the most heartwarming and exuberant fashion, was an intimate yet spirited dinner at Mezzanine – Elevated Filipino & French Dining restaurant in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The evening unfolded in a tapestry of emotional reunions, sincere reconciliation, and joyful festivity, a gracious reminder that friendships, when nurtured, only grow more meaningful with time.
Adding sparkle to the affair was the birthday tribute to Yoli Ayson, Beging Soriano, and Agile Zamora, whose special day was marked with laughter, toasts, and sweet confections. Over a sumptuous spread of beloved Filipino fare, guests savored not only the cuisine but the priceless gift of togetherness, a truly auspicious and memorable beginning to the year.
