MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has distributed P1.09 million in reintegration assistance to 62 returning overseas Filipino workers.
Thirty-two former OFWs who are now public school teachers in the Caraga region received teaching kits worth P20,000 each to help them purchase laptops, printers and other classroom materials.
Thirty other beneficiaries received P15,000 each under the Enhanced Livelihood Program for OFW Reintegration to help them build sustainable sources of income.
Before the distribution, the Welfare and Reintegration Services Division held a session in which beneficiaries shared stories of sacrifice, resilience and hope after years of working abroad.
